Jamala – Drifting Apart (LIVE PERFORMANCE)

“You said you love me a thousand times. You said you love me, but your love isn’t strong enough.” Drifting Apart. Based on a true story. 😂 Honestly, I can’t even remember if this really happened or if my imagination filled in the blanks over the years. But it definitely feels like it could have. “You said you love me a thousand times. You said you love me, but your love isn’t strong enough.” Simple as that. I went to The Erised (sadly, the band is no longer together, though they’re all still making music individually) and said, “I have this song. I have these lyrics. Let’s make something out of it.” And we did. Fast. Effortless. That’s how Drifting Apart was born.
